Well, I was going to have some fun with you and tease you about not having your net with you and having to use your hands (There have been a time or two that I have forgot my net). But as you can clearly see I read your comment to the above gentlemen and learned something myself. Anyway, thank you for posting this video, I liked it.
May you have beautiful skies and tight lines, God Bless!

  8. dprice43 says:

Really? How do they know they are steelhead? Are they tracking them?

  9. dprice43 says:

You are right, but both bucks, and hens die after their spawn.

  10. dprice43 says:

Out of those 5,000 eggs, there are 2 salmon that return to the river to spawn. Having said that, I love eating salmon, (smoking some right now). Trout are different, I don’t like to keep them. Salmon are going to die anyway, and Alaska’s hatcheries take care of the populations. I like to keep salmon, not trout.

  11. dprice43 says:

At the time of the shooting of this video, it was LEAGAL to use beads. It is NOT leagal now to use them in this manner now. I hope there is no more confusion on this subject.

  12. dprice43 says:

PSSSST…. Your ignorance is showing! Actually you are wrong on this in every aspect. First very rude, which leaves you blocked now, (congratulations)! Second, a study showed that responsible handling of fish reduces the mortality rate associated with nets of catch and release fish from 8% to under 4%. So thanks for trying to spread your ignorance, but we’ll go ahead and let you keep it for yourself today. I do hope; though; that somebody thinks that you know what you are talking about.

  13. morleyrox says:

im not sure about trout but male chinook die after their first spawn i think.

  14. morleyrox says:

what is a russian? a kind of river?

  15. mastainventa says:

somw dumb fucks have never seen a landing net

  16. kylepickens says:

u see 4 foot of salmon not trout or stealhead the stealhead return to salt water in the spring

  17. rocklives4ev says:

In the russian you cant keep trout if they’re above 16 inches and most of the fish in the russian are above 16 inches.

  18. rocklives4ev says:

Yes I know that but there are some people on here that think on the russian river your bead must be fished 2 inches above the hook or free sliding but the russian being a fly fish on river you must have your beads attached to the hook I am not stating that on this video his beads are being fished differently but I’m just informing anyone that thinks the regs have changed from when this video was made they are wrong beads or attractors must be attached to the hook

  19. grig24x says:

I strongly dissagree when people let them go. after their 7th yaer of spawns tehy die, and i see like 4 foot of died salmons and stealheads, and trout. so why dont you just take the fish and enjoy it with your familes, by the way salmon spawns over 5,0000 eggs.

  20. kylepickens says:

they have been catching a few steelhead in the middle kenai

  21. kylepickens says:

    and his bead is not

  22. rocklives4ev says:

fuck you kylepickens I know the fish regs front and back upside down. I’m just stating how some people believe that your bead must be two inches away from your hook or free sliding but fly fish only waters state it must be attached to the hook. BITCH

  23. kylepickens says:

does his bead look like its attached to the hook you dumb ass

  24. goretoye says:

“cannot kiss” wow peta members are a bunch of dimwits.
