Bass Fishing 101 in Michigan with The Woodsman 101

NomadicDog asked:

Bass Fishing at a Southern Mid Michigan Lake with the Woodsman 101. Using Yum Buzz Frogs Berkley Gulp Pearl Colored Sinking Minnows, while trying to keep the Trophy Pike away from the Bass he hooked into. Landed quite a few Bass earlier in the season between 14″- 16″ that had HUGE Pike scars on them! We mean HUGE 38″+ Pike too.

  3. cchadyb says:

Lol i didnt see all comments mybad…why cull though just wait for a big one

  4. NomadicDog says:

Normally NO! But on this trip we were culling out a few as the Lake Guru requested us to do.

  5. NomadicDog says:

GREAT! Try the Ribbit brand frogs to, if you can find the Bull Ribbits pick em’ up and use them also.

  6. NomadicDog says:

You should read ALL the comments and replies! Like the one about us practicing catch and release, when I responded to shaunavue’s comment.
That’s some basic elementary stuff for YOU!

  7. airsoftboy224 says:

    do you keep them?

  8. TriggermanEst91 says:

used these frogs today, i never liked them but i was fishing them wrong, now i love them…..

  9. cchadyb says:

you should think about catch and release thats some 101 for you

  10. NomadicDog says:

Yes it is, that’s why you can see the big Pike lurking in the weeds, it’s awesome!
It’s also spring fed and pretty much surrounded by a Bog.

  11. NomadicDog says:

lol, You know it! Where’s my Sign Award ?

  12. NomadicDog says:

Sorry, No public access to this Lake. But I can say I have used the Gary Yomamoto Hula Grub and it works great in the cabbage!

  13. NomadicDog says:

lol, Thanks! We left ours in the back of the truck on this trip, we were in to big of a rush to get on the Lake, therefore we had to cut a piece of the anchor rope. Creating the Redneck Stringer!

  14. NomadicDog says:

Yes you should pick up some! Also try the Ribbit Frog or the Bull Ribbit Frog, another good product for sure. They also make a top water Scum Frog which the front of it is shaped like a Hula Popper.

  15. crackers13l says:

    how is that redneck?

  16. crackers13l says:

Oh Contraire Miss Shuanavue! We have been fishing that hole for years. It was grossly overpopulated with Bass the fish were unhealthy, pale colored most had empty stomachs and parasites on them. We practice catch release but do cull only a few each year. The results are the healthy fish you see in this video, as woodsman 101 comments on their beautiful color I on how healthy they look. The Pike have benefited from this as well, as they are mostly feeding on 14″ average Bass now.

  22. shuanavue says:

that fishing hole will soon have no bass left in it

  23. teams2k says:

wow the water is so clear….. nice vid and some nice bass too 5*

  24. deerslayer2545 says:

    Awesome!
