I use 10# – 20# test mono leader on 15# test Super braid main line depending on the target fish.
Super braided line definitely helps me feel the subtle bites when the water is real cold and fish is in the deep water column. Also it is easier/faster when I tie the lures (knots) with mono leader than super braided lines directly to the lure.

Yes,
When I trolled fast (3.5-4 mph) with deep diving crank-baits, the leader does not matter, I can even use a wire leader.
However, the most of the time, I use mono line leader. Nowadays, I use super braided lines (15# and 30# test) as main line depending on the size of the target fish. I use 15# test super braided line for target fish from Large Mouth Bass to any fish up to 20# range.
