Years ago I watched my dad dress silk lines the night before he went fly fishing. I became the official leader tier for my dad. Then my dad’s fly tier. I had a ball. He bought all hooks, materials, etc. I wish I could still still go fishing with him. He died in 86 after three wars and cancer. Never in my life have I seen a man catch as many doubles as my dad did. An 80 year old man told me in 53-54- “you watch and learn from your dad. “
