Nice vid, but consider a stronger rod. It will be much easier to run the salmon.

I thought it was great Video (BUT) if you plan on catch release I would recomend a much bigger rod than that noodle stick.With a bigger rod you can get them to the boat in a lot less time effort plus the fish will not be quite so tired have a much faster recovery time upon release. Just a suggestion,,, But great video anyway!
Umm, fishing for Kings in Skilak is illegal last I checked.. and then the video of the guy catching the fish in on the Kenai River NOT on the lake. Lake is at least a mile between banks except where the Kenai comes in and goes out.
thought i was watching a fishin vid turned around for a sec and when i looked back all i see is a big eye, scared da hell outta me. great king, some good eatin and an awesome fight fresh in the river like that

thats a big ass fish i live in ireland i fish for samon in the fahen sorry about the spelling its noin all over the world for its samon but u would never get a fish as big as that one dam thats a big fish good to see release! if ur not going to eat them leave them bk good job lol
