Not smart to eat raw fish from any water, they are prone to have parasites in them. Always cook them/roast them or even air dry them is much safer and in a survival situation (when you have plenty of time) always opt for the safe approach (getting sick is not an option at anytime!)

i did eat a sammon like that after i went on a charteron lake michigan i was so hungry it isent that bad just the blood kinda gets to you but still good
