This was our first time fishing the Sanbernardino National Forest for stocked rainbow trout. We decided to try out the Santa Ana River and had pretty good luck!

@pyro4ever209 PETA…LMAO

@Brandonkop There is nothing wrong with catching and eating. As long us we don’t get to greedy and catch more than we need. Look at what’s going on in Lake Arrowhead. The fish there is HUGE and SICK ! All got worms and **** on them because there is not cycle of fish being replenished.(for the most part) They are born there and they die there due to stupid law that you have to be a resident to catch fish in the lake. Besides that where portion of your licensing fee goes to have DFG !

The Santa Ana is more so in the Sanbernardino National Forest area… I’ve fished the Santa Ana River the runs through 7 Oaks, California(below Angelus Oaks,CA- off the 1N09 Forest Service road.) The spots he was fishing look familiar but then again its the forest, its all the same lol..

Trout are really stupid, but they do spook. I amazed you two were able to catch any standing right over them.

@anayalator22 ….have YOU ever heard of a catch limit? It’s there because it’s not wrong to take them home…given you have your license for the year or day. Good way to try and be a douche

Hey anayalator22 you are the biggest idiot I’ve heard…. Poeple like the taste of fresh Trout. Here’s one for you PETA People. Eat. Tasty. Animals.
Brandonkop said:
These are almost like store bought fish, stocked every week by dfg, they aren’t wild trout. If I let them go someone else would be eating them and then they restock the following week. It is a put and take fishery, not a catch and release type fishery. I’ve fished it catch and release many time but sometimes I like to eat some fish. Grow up, you’re 37! It’s time to start talking like an adult.
anayalator22 said:
Dude if you want to eat trout go buy some in the store. Have you ever heard of catch and release? What a ****. Nice shorts *****.

No skill involved… just drop the bait on their nose and wait till they eat it. A little less challenging than back home in Canada, but still fun to get out and have some fun close to home.
charlitunaman2002 said:
wow,
pond raised fish. now that takes some real skill to catch

free-lining a single salmon egg on a salmon egg hook, throwing it as far up upstream and letting it flow down worked for me! see my vid, ill tell u what else u need

There’s no fun in going directley to the fishing spot. You should explore for a day. Who knows, you might even find a better spot. Plus, no fisherman is going to give up a good spot that easily, haha.
