    thats what i love about winter steelhead fishing. they might not jump like in the fall and spring but they can fight longer and still be strong at the release

    Road Snake, if you want the best smoked fish of your life, come fish in western Washington State, we get salmon coming back down from feeding up in Alaska, 20 pounders easy if you know what you are doing…. Like I said, Western Washington fresh Salmon is the best smoked fish you will ever eat, and is even better when it’s not smoked

    I prefer the smaller ones for smoking.
    These big bastards are all seeds and twigs.
    Too harsh on the throat.

    NO OFFENSE but as much as catch and release is admirable — you gotta admit those doggies sure are good eatin. I plan to be up there around Christmas this year. Crossing my fingers that they’re runnin!

    Sorry, but that is not a small stream. Maybe it’s cuz I live in California, but a small stream is no bigger than 10 feet across.
