Shuswap lake is the best place for trout, might never catch one but when you do there like 3 feat long 11 pounds

very nice fish. Looks like it pulled hard. She’s a bit like me… never make a sound until the fish is in the boat.

@BrownTrout117 We try to mix it up a bit, fly vids for more experienced anglers and spin or bait fish for families who are just looking for a weekend get-away. There’ll be more fly vids soon.

  14. BrownTrout117 says:

less spin, more fly! lol srry, im a total fly snob. Nice bow.

@Andreh78 ;) Definitely can be a surprise when the lake is dead calm and silent.

@TXBucksnort Thanks, at 3,000ft above sea level, this lake is definitely one of the nicest place where we’ve fished in the Pacific Northwest. It’s quiet, the air is fresh and the bird diversity is amazing.

  20. fishingwithrod says:

@cory8791 it’s amazing how much better I’d look with longer and dyed hair. :) Thanks, glad you’re enjoying the video.

@Tomaszeks Thanks. In some video we do talk quite a bit, but in others like this one we keep it minimal just so people can hear the birds chirping in the background, fish splashing. The audio creates the mood of the video and the sound setting at a peaceful lake like this one is too nice to be ruined by talks and music. :) Glad someone noticed it.

  22. AntiHuntersLoveMe says:

Great footage and beautiful rainbow! Looks like a pretty special place.

  23. Tomaszeks says:

What I like about this video is that you guys are very economic with words. I’m kind of being tired with fishing show hosts that are screaming and laughing loud all the time. So good job you guys!

  24. cory8791 says:

Hey rod you are not looking like yourself today lol i am just pulling your chain!!!! great vid keep them coming

  25. TXBucksnort says:
