Summer Walleye fishing on Lake of the Woods is back to full form and the Wigwam Resort discusses different techniques and locations in this weeks addition of the fishing report. The spinners with crawlers have been used with great success, as have the jigs with shiners and crawlers while anchored. The Wigwam Fisherman enjoys pulling the Rapalas and they have also been used with plenty of success this past week on the lake know as “The Walleye Capital of the World”.

Happy Fathers Day Weekend to all! We had some fantastic fishing this weekend and Monster Walleyes were found in great abundance (16 Walleyes over 24 inches), and that’s what we love to see. The Wigwam Fisherman and the Robertson’s found the Monster Walleyes in 31′ of water out from Zipple Bay on the south shore of Lake of the Woods. Our tremendous body of water proved to us once again why it’s called the Walleye Capital of the World! We are so lucky and truly blessed to have Lake of the Woods in our backyard. Happy Fishing and God Bless!
