Kayak fished Lake Anna, VA on Jan 10, 2010. I chased birds for stripers. I did not catch any by casting and jigging lures while chasing birds for 2 hours. I caught blue back herrings on #8 Sabiki rig to use as live baits on circle hooks. I finally caught released a large mouth bass and a striper on live herrings. The wind was at 15-18MPH most of time. It wasn’t ideal day for kayak fishing.

I went to Lake Anna **** 3 (in VA) for striped bass on March 6, 2010. The wind was a little too strong to stay on the edges or drop-off along the shore lines. Instead of fighting against the wind, I put the sail up on the kayak and tacked to stay with the edges and drop-offs along the shore. Also I searched the striped bass while sailing.
